Lady Dim (Anuirean sea chanty)

A lass full up with cargo
Was lovely Lady Dim
Oho ho, away we go

And though she had a palace
She loved young Bandy Jim
Oho ho, away we go

She met him by the dockyard
Her frock all full of gold
Oho ho, away we go

I come, he said, from far away
no caravan will go
Oho ho, away we go

But there, I swear to you, my dear
Our love can never fade
Oho ho, away we go

So sail away, says he, should we
Upon the morning light
Oho ho, away we go

But first I'll need to pay our way
With gold so warm and bright
Oho ho, away we go

Although she loved young Jim so dear
The lady were no fool
Oho ho, away we go

She took a kiss from p'on his lips
His coat she fully furled
Oho ho, away we go

And when his sails were full of wind
She tossed him o'er the pier
Oho ho, away we go

Bandy Jim had ne'er learned to swim
And thus he met his end
Oho ho, away we go

So ware me boys O ware me boys
Of lovely Lady Dim
if ye think ye're clever
Best stick to the rum and the gin

Oho ho, away we go

Oho ho! Away we go!
